What is my electricity network?

Electricity prices vary depending on your location. In NSW, Queensland and Victoria there multiple energy networks and you’ll need to know which network your property is located in, in order to look at the pricing that applies.  To help you do this, WATTever’s electricity network checker let’s you see which network’s rates will apply for your location.

There are three power networks dividing NSW – Ausgrid, Endeavour, and Essential Energy serving the Regional NSW. Queensland has two electricity networks – Energex in SE QLD which is contestable, and Ergon that offers limited choice.

While Victoria, is split between five electricity networks – AusNet Service, Citipower, Jemena,
Powercor and United Energy. You’ll find one network covering South Australia, one in the ACT which includes some surrounding areas in NSW, plus one network covering Tasmania.
