Electricity retailer Energy Locals have been making waves in NSW, ACT and Queensland with their promise of cheap, fair and clean energy. Now it’s South Australia’s turn and Energy Locals are not holding back. On their first day in the market, Energy Locals offered the cheapest plan for households
that use 20kWh of electricity a day. We’ll break down what Energy Locals offer and outline the plans that are now available to residents of South Australia.

Here’s what to expect

Founder, Adrian Merrick said, “It’s clear that we can’t rely on policy or corporates to make energy an affordable household and business expense. We’ve proudly created an energy product that’s cheap and comes with the unique promise that customers won’t get screwed”.

The price is the price

Energy Locals don’t play the discount game. Instead, all customers get low ongoing rates that are simple to understand. Plus Energy Locals promise not to raise prices for profit with their ‘no gouge’ guarantee. All while providing a 100% local customer service team.

Cleaner power for all

Energy Locals placed third in 2018 Green Electricity Guide. They offer carbon-neutral power to customers at no extra cost and pay big feed-in tariffs. Now, part of Energy Locals electricity will be now be sourced from Cape Byron Power, a bio-generator that uses sugarcane and sawmill waste to generate power.
